SWAGGER WAGON

This is hilarious and if you want to sing along the here are the lyrics

[INTRO MOM AND DAD]

Yeah

This one goes out to all you minivan families out there.
Sienna SE...in the house.
Where my mother/fathers at?
Where my kids at?

Where my kids at?
Where my kids at?
Where my kids at?
Where my kids at?
Where my kids at?

No, seriously honeywhere are the kids?
They're right there, see?
Oh, cool beans.

[VERSE DAD]
I roll hard through the streets and the cul-de-sacs,
Proud parent of an honor roll student, Jack.
I got a swing in the front, a tree house in the back,
My #1 Dad mug says, Yeah, Im the Mack.

[VERSE MOM]
I'm the world's best nurse when my kids get sick,
I make a mean gel-mold, I perfected my tricks,
Back when I used to party as a college chick.
Now I'm cruising to their playdates lookin' all slick...

[CHROUS]
In my Swagger Wagon,
Yeah, the Swagger Wagon,
It's the Swagger Wagon,
I got the pride in my ride.
In my Swagger Wagon,
Yeah, the Swagger Wagon,
It's the Swagger Wagon.

[VERSE DAD]

Check it...

I love hangin' with my daughter sippin' tea, keep my pinky up,
All the drawings on my fridge sport an A+.
I'm an awesome parent, (Right!) and it's apparent, (True!)
And in this house there's no mother/father swearin'.

[VERSE MOM]
Straight owning bake sales with my cupcake skills,
I'm better with the money, so I handle the bills,
And I always buy in bulk, ain't afraid of no spills.
Every Mother's Day proves...I'm kind of a big deal.

Daughter: Mommy, I need to go potty.

Bring the beat back, 'cause, yo, I got more to say,
You know I'm always front and center at the school play.
I kiss their boo-boos, clean doggie doo-doos,
Cut the crust off of PB&Js, chill the Yoo-hoos.

[VERSE DAD]

Singin' "Farmer in the Dell" in perfect harmony,
When I'm rollin' with my posse in the HOV.
We rock the SE, not an SUV,
And it's true, if I were you, I'd be jealous of me...

[CHORUS]

Mosaic picture maker

Just playing around with the mosaic picture maker on www.bighugelabs.com/mosaic/php . Infinite possibilities. I used it this time to put together some ideas for the daycare/playroom.

Dear Present,

I'm sorry I have been mistreating you...I keep turning to my past though he can longer provide for me...I keep looking to the future wishing for things not promised. So for this moment on, Present, I am here...I live for you. `anonymous

(Thanks Keekee --I read this off your computer las night lol)

Yesterday I went to see 2 potential daycare sites. The first one didn't even come close to meeting my needs but the second definitely had potential. It is a two story building with a capacity for 38 children. Aesthetically it wasn't my taste but nothing a little paint couldn't change. My anxiety ran high the more I looked around and thought about "the possibilities". I was starting to envision myself, the children & Mrs. kee in the space and I was getting excited. I had a few concerns and after talking to the owner I had a few more concerns lol.....

I am starting to stress myself out with all the behind the scene stuff (insurance/workmens comp/licenses/ratios and the like) but i feel that something blessed is about to happen so I will pray for HIS will to be done and try my best to listen intently.

If not this space, one that fits my vision and destined especially for me is in the works.

Miles for Myeloma 5k (3.1 miles) Walk/Run

It took over an hour to walk those 3 miles but it was well worth it and very relaxing. I enjoyed the early sunny morning walk/run with my two sisters Wanakee & Polly, my brother in law Nirie and the BF Vernon.
Thank you Alpha Nu Omega Sorority,Inc for keeping us community conscious and inviting us to the event.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. `Hebrew 12:1 NIV

Read the Bible in 90 days???

One of my daily resolutions is to grow closer to GOD. So I have decided to Join Amy over @ www.momstoolbox.com in the challenge of reading the Bible in 30 days. I think the real challenge will be making the time each day to read and focus in on GOD. Amy estimates that each days reading of 12 pages will take about an hour and I will add at least another 1/2 hour for re-reading passages that I do not understand, prayer and just sitting still to listen to God.....you know what i better add at least another hour... LOL

I think the key to my success will be to have a set time each day. For the first week that set time will be @ 7am in the morning. I will read my passages in the morning before the daycare kids arrive.

I will try to update the blog on my journey and hope you will joined me.
Everyone reading this blog please pray for my success.

Christmas

Christmas shopping @ KOP (me & Polly were lost in the parking lot)

Christmas morning....N.I.C. on his "new" ATV.
In the last 3 years we have been enjoi-ing a wonderful christmas breakfast prepared by Wanakee . This years meal included apple chicken patties {Yum-O}, beef bacon & french toast. It was sooooo oh oh oh oooo scrmptious.
Of course there are no pictures because we were tooo busy eating!!! LOL

Thanksgiving Apple Pie contest

I absolutely love Thanksgiving it is one of my favorite holidays. I enjoy this time with my family very much. I especially love eating my mom's macaroni & cheese.

We decided to do something a little different this year and have an apple pie contest. The contestants included my mom, my aunt Angie, my sister Polly and myself. The pies were set out one by one and judged based on appearance, taste and consistency.
Our taste buds were really in for a "treat" this day. LOL!!!

Polly's apple pie was made on the stove top and was very juicy but her crust was a little soggy but still taste good. My mother's pie looked the best but it had a very weird consistency......because she added trailmix......that's right i said TRAILMIX..... URGH!!!! Both Angie and myself made traditionally style pies however Angie's was a little dry.......and I was crowned the APPLE PIE QUEEN all bow before my juicy apple pie goodness bwhaaa haaa!!!!.

***Special thanks to Terrance, Wanakee, Angie's daughter in law (sorry i forgot her name) & Taj
for Crowning Me Queen of Apple Pie-dom!!***
